Blueberry

To do the compound sign for blueberry, first sign the letter 'B' and twist it at the wrist, held up one side of your body, to sign blue. Then sign berry by holding out the index finger of your non-dominant hand, then holding the index's tip with all the fingers and thumb of the dominant hand closed in on it, twisting back and forth at the wrist.

Flash Card

Use the blueberry flash card along with the apple and banana flash cards. Grouping fruits will equip your baby to understand categories and familiarize with favorite foods. As your baby gets more advanced, you can introduce the added challenge of color. So as well as blueberry and apple, you can use blue and black, and brown and red as descriptors for the colors of different fruits and food items.

Robin, I believe the first two images (the “vertical hand”) are supposed to be the sign for “blue,” followed by the sign for “berry” (the last two images).

Will you be adding a video for this sign? The description above the image says nothing about a vertical hand (and needs rewritten) making the image quite confusing. Also, it looks like the right right hand is gripping the left index finger and not just rolling around it?

    ADMIN,
    Hi Robin,
We have added additional details to the description. You do not grip your finger you simply roll around it. We hope to add a video soon to facilitate the visual.
