I highly recommend this product to parents. Baby Sign Language made an amazing difference in my daughter and her ability to communicate with us. We started signing to her when she was about 5 months old. She learned slowly but around the 1 year mark, she just took off and soon began using more signs than we could even remember. Amazing!

I started teaching my twins baby sign language using the printable resources available in this website. As my little babies became more mobile using a soft flash card printed on regular stock was no longer an option. My husband and I wanted to buy the flash cards only because we had seen them at a friend’s house and they looked so sturdy and beautiful. Because you get more value for your money by buying a kit we decided to go for the deluxe. The two things that we have enjoyed the most are the flash cards and the chart. We use the chart as a cheat sheet for our nanny. If communication and motor skills are important to you you should think about teaching your baby how to sign. We have found that our twins not only appear less frustrated they are also using signs to communicate with each other as they begin to explore the world around them. They can both sign basic foods, many animals and signs like more, thirsty, cold and hot. We are extra proud parents. They are also starting to speak and often combine signs with speech which helps as far as clarity.

Cards are nicely designed and durable. The book and poster are good too. We did not get the kit with the DVDs. My son refused to learn to sign, but we did work with him for about 12 months and these materials made it easy for us to try.

  4. JC

Phenomenal kit! My son has been using the flashcards for awhile and they are one of his favorite toys. He will sit with me and go through and say and sign each word. I wish there were more because these are the best flashcards I’ve seen. The pictures are real and the sign is perfect. Also the cardboard construction is great for baby /toddler. Please make more flashcards! I’ll buy them all! I highly recommend the kit.

  5. Chris Hawkins

i think this is a great tool to begin a baby’s development. i haven’t been super consistent with teaching her words, but she is beginning to talk now (my daugther), and the few words that i used over and over with signing she does understand and use. i recommend this to others. my only wish is that the kit would also contain words that are a little more applicable to everyday life (potty, diaper, mommy daddy, etc). i may have overlooked these words. many words, although are good to learn, are not as applicable until a child can get a little older (zebra, fan car, slide, etc). overall i recommend this product.
