Signing: Farmer is a compound sign, combining the sign for farm and person.
Start by signing farm,start with your thumb touching your non-dominant side. taking your open dominant hand, with your thumb tracing your jaw going from the dominant side to the non-dominant side of your face.
Next, sign person. Make both hands open and parallel, then starting at should height move them downward toward your waist.

Usage: Many children are interested in different types of people and jobs. Teach farmer alongside other occupation type signs like teacher, and firefighter.
