Thought

Thought is an iconic sign. Form your dominant hand into a fist, leaving your index finger up. Touch your index finger to your temple while forming a quizzical look on your face and tilting your head to the side, as if you are deep in thought.

SIGN USAGE

Teach your toddler the thought sign when they are asking you for something, and you want to show them that it is something you have to weigh first or think deeply about before coming to a decision. You can also teach this sign to your more advanced toddler when you want them to exercise their own thinking ability to solve the problem at hand, whether it be how to fix a broken toy, or how to make their little sister stop crying.
