Peas

Peas is signed by taking your non-dominant hand and holding it out horizontally in front of your body, all fingers wound into a fist except the index finger sticking out like a ledge. Then take your dominant hand, form a hook with your index finger, and run it down from the knuckle of your non-dominant index finger to the tip of this index. It's like you're running your finger across the curvy surface of peas in a pod.

SIGN USAGE

Teach your baby the sign for peas when you serve it up for a snack. This is a good sign to teach along with other food and vegetable flash cards, to widen your child's food repertoire.
