Pasta

Pasta is signed by drawing both hands into a fist then sticking only the pinkie fingers out. Hold your two hands close to each other in front of your body, then draw them apart as you make small, circling motions with both pinkie fingers, as if you are twirling the pasta noodles as you stretch them apart.

Hello! How different is the sign for “pasta” as in spaghetti to the sign for “noodles” as in Chinese noodles (we call it pancit)? We live in the Philippines and my kid eats both spaghetti and pancit. I was hoping I could distinguish one from the other for her thru baby signs so I know which one she is requesting for. Thanks!

    ADMIN – Hi Ging,

It is the very same sign.

Can you please teach me an alternate way to sign this?
Because I can’t use both pinkies (I was born with my right hand way less functional). Thanks!

    ADMIN – Hi Sara,

Adapt your signs as you see fit.
