To sign next, as in "You're next," hold both hands flat and open. Hold your non-dominant hand steady in front of you, palm facing in. Then take your dominant hand, then starting from behind the non-dominant palm, jump it over the other hand until it stands on its pinkie side in front of the non-dominant hand.

SIGN USAGE

Teach your toddler the next sign when you are out on household or medical errands, and you are showing them that sometimes people need to queue up and wait their turn. This is also a useful sign to teach when you have to wait in line for your tickets at the zoo, carnival, or cinema.
