Letter H
The letter H is signed by holding out your dominant hand horizontally, palm facing in, with your index and middle fingers held out together, straight and stacked horizontally, index at the top. The rest of the fingers and thumb are curled in.
SIGN USAGE
Teach your toddler the letter H sign when it is necessary to finger-spell some simple words - or the initials of objects, places, animals, or people's names. That way, your toddler slowly begins to associate the sign with the sound of the letter in a word or name.

As the sign for nanny is complicated, I’m thinking of using this one, for her name is beginning with H, plus it’s not like any signs she’s learning know.
Today one of our twins (the one that is signing) used for the first time a V for herself. I was flabbergasted ! She made the sign for ‘stand’, which I made up before knowing this web site and actually same as ‘up’. I said ‘in a little while, I’m not finished dressing you’. So she made a V and then ‘stand’ again, as if she thought, I had not underdtood, it was about her and not me.
