Usage: Teaching baby to sign when he is frustrated, is a useful way for you to defuse a temper tantrum before it starts. Just being able to communicate the frustration helps them cool off. And it also provides you an opportunity to intervene and change the situation so whatever is bothering them is handled.

This sign is very difficult for a baby to do. I think it would be very frustrating.
Our one year old has started expressing his frustration by slapping, including slapping me! I want him to be able to express his emotions in an acceptable way. Thanks.

    ADMIN – Hi Suzy,

Why don’t you come up with a simplified version for your baby?

Is there a specific sign for “temper”? Right now, I am using the sign for “frustrated” to communicate “temper”. Thank you in advance!!

    ADMIN-Hi Jennifer,
We prefer to teach babies specific emotions associated to temper like angry, sad and frustrated.
