Video: Flashlight in Sign Language

Signing: The flashlight sign looks like you are holding a flashlight. Your non-dominant hand is the ‘holding’ arm and you touch your index finger to your thumb to make a circle, then touch it against the wrist of your dominant hand. Your dominant hand is open palm to make the ‘light’. Then you move your hands side-to-side.

Usage: Flashlights are a favorite toy among young children. First teach the basic flashlight sign, then expand to teaching the concepts of on and off.
