As your child gains confidence in the basics of Baby Sign Language, signs for everyday household items such as drawer are a good way to feed their appetite for new signs. Drawer is also a good sign for advanced signers, because you can talk about it being open or closed, or whether an object is in or out of the drawer.
Use the drawer flash card in conjunction with some of the other furniture flash cards to teach your baby these words. As an extension activity for when your child gets more confident, you can talk about putting things in or out. And you can talk about making the drawer open or closed.
