Signing: Breakfast is a combination sign that combines both morning and eat (or food).
The morning looks like a sun rising over the horizon. It is signed by taking your non-dominant hand and laying it horizontally to make the horizon. Then you bring your dominant hand under and over, hinging at the elbow to make a sun rising up over the horizon.
Eat is signed by taking your dominant hand with thumb touching your four fingers. Bring the hand to the mouth and repeatedly tap it on your mouth.
Usage: Breakfast and other meal specific signs like lunch, dinner, and snack are good advanced signs to teach once baby has master the basic eat sign. Adding a time-of-the-day dimension adds a little to the difficulty and keeps baby challenged.
